Peter asked EA for details on when the online portion of TW08 would end, due to the release of TW10. This is the eamil response.

Thank you for contacting Electronic Arts.Please be informed that it is clearly mentioned at the back of the Game DVD case and in the game manual that "EA may retire online features after 30 days notice posted on www.ea.com or 30 days after the last day of the 2008 season." and the 2008 season has ended a long time ago.If there is anything else I can help you with please let me know.

The fact that TW 07 online is still up and running indicates to me that 08 will be running long after TW 10 comes on line...I HOPE....lol

ReplyDeleteThe 'tone' of the reply is somewhat autocratic.
ReplyDeleteThe message it sends is.......TW08 is on borrowed time and EA will pull the plug with the minimum notice.
The only way we will be able to continue with TW08 after EA withdraws support for it will be along the lines of the Clambakers site.
Better start making plans I reckon!!
...is very ridiculous....in Italy not have released again TW09 and TW10 for PC.......
